Colorado Home Cooling & Daylighting has been named a Medium Business of the Year Finalist for the 2021 Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for the state of Colorado.
The Torch Awards for Ethics is the most prestigious honor Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific (BBBGWP) bestows on businesses and charities operating within its eight-state service area. Winners and finalists are selected based on their commitment to their organization’s character, culture, customers, and community.
“We were thrilled to receive more than 300 Torch Awards submissions this year from businesses and charities alike,” said Tyler Andrew, President and CEO of BBBGWP. “It was truly inspiring to learn how each business makes a daily commitment to not only uphold ethical business practices, but also embody the true meaning of integrity. We hope this recognition helps the winners and finalists stand out in their local communities and encourage more businesses to operate with those same principles.”
CHCD illustrates their commitment to personal and professional growth, success and positive change by making affordable, green energy home solutions accessible to everyone.
“It was an honor to be a finalist, as we strive to uphold our values on a daily basis,” says Andrew Hitchings, owner of CHCD. “Working as a team, putting customers first, embracing change and being present have allowed us to serve the Colorado Front Range for decades to the highest standard possible. We look forward to continuing to grow and serve our amazing customer base!”
BBBGWP serves more than 20 million consumers in Alaska, Central Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Western Wyoming.
"We hope this recognition helps the winners and finalists stand out in their local communities and encourage more businesses to operate with those same principles.”
Since 2003, Colorado Home Cooling & Daylighting has amassed hundreds of satisfied customers in our mission to provide unmatched customer service in our industry. Like many small, veteran-owned businesses, we know our success is based on customer satisfaction — we don't do it for awards or recognition (though that's nice too!)
From office staff to field technicians, we work hard to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, craftsmanship and service our customers have come to expect and deserve. We didn't think that hard work would also catch the eye of The BBB, (even though we've been accredited with the BBB for the past 18 years and hold an A+ rating).
Nonetheless, it was a humbling experience when one of the largest consumer advocacy groups in North America announced Colorado Home Cooling & Daylighting as a finalist for the coveted 2021 Torch Awards, recognizing the small, medium and large businesses of the year. CHCD is one of six Central Colorado finalists named in the 2021 Medium Business of the Year category, alongside Expert Exteriors LLC, Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck, Mountain View Publishers, Sewer Lines Only, and Vulcan Fire & Security.
It is an honor to be nominated for an award of this caliber. In 2019, under new ownership, we doubled down on our mission to set the standard in customer service by creating streamlined processes to better serve our customers, our staff, and our community as a whole. Little did we know these processes would become the foundation of our operations, allowing us to grow our business throughout the coronavirus pandemic and find ways to make healthy, eco-friendly home upgrades available to everyone.
We are proud to be recognized, and thank each and every one of our customers who took the time to leave us a review, referred us to their friends and family, and welcomed us into their homes for supporting us.
